Why choose Seychelles as your next holiday destination?

It's Simple .....

Getting to the Seychelles from South Africa is a breeze – it's just a quick 5 to 6-hour flight. Even better, South African passport holders don't need a visa to enjoy this stunning archipelago.

Once you arrive, you'll discover that the Seychelles truly offers something for everyone. Whether you're an adventurer keen on scuba diving or fly-fishing, or simply dreaming of unwinding on some of the world's most beautiful beaches, your perfect island escape awaits.

About Seychelles

Often called "paradise on Earth," the Seychelles truly lives up to its reputation! This incredible archipelago is famous for having some of the most stunning beaches you'll ever see – think powdery white sands, unique granite boulders, and incredibly clear turquoise waters. It's the ultimate destination for those seeking natural beauty and a peaceful escape. Whether you're looking to simply relax, explore vibrant marine life, or discover hidden coves, the Seychelles offers a genuinely breathtaking and serene island experience.

Best time to travel.

The Seychelles is a fantastic destination year-round, as temperatures rarely dip below 24°C or climb above 32°C. Even when it rains, it's usually just brief showers that clear up quickly!

That said, for generally calmer, less windy conditions, the best time to visit is typically April, May, October, and November. The rainy season runs from November to February, and it can get quite hot from December to April.

What's really great about the Seychelles is that many activities are fantastic no matter when you go. Snorkelling and sailing conditions are excellent all year round. If you're into surfing or windsurfing, plan your trip between May and September. For diving enthusiasts, March to May and September to November offer prime conditions, with April and October boasting the best visibility. And for a truly unique experience, you can swim with whale sharks from September to November, or witness turtle hatchlings making their way to the sea from January to March. If you love to explore on foot, the best time for walking and hiking is May to September, while bird-watching peaks in April (breeding season), May to September (Sooty Tern nesting), and October (migration).

My top hotels.

I've narrowed down some absolute top picks that consistently deliver amazing holidays! Among the 4-star options, the Coral Strand Hotel offers a lively beachfront vibe, while Avani Barbarons Seychelles Resort & Spa provides a stylish retreat. Paradise Sun is perfect for that relaxed, authentic island feel, and DoubleTree by Hilton Allamanda Resort & Spa offers a charming, intimate escape. And for an all-inclusive, activity-packed experience, Club Med Seychelles is truly exceptional.

Stepping into the 5-star luxury realm, Kempinski Seychelles Resort is renowned for its elegance and stunning setting, while The Savoy Resort & Spa provides contemporary comfort right on Beau Vallon. For expansive resorts with incredible facilities, both Constance Ephelia Seychelles (on Mahé) and Constance Lemuria Seychelles (on Praslin, with its famous golf course!) are truly outstanding choices. Each of these hotels offers a unique way to experience the magic of the Seychelles, promising a truly unforgettable trip.

Popular Seychelles Islands

While the Seychelles is made up of 115 islands, three stand out as the most popular and accessible, each offering its own unique charm!

First up is Mahé, the largest island and home to the international airport and the capital, Victoria. It's a vibrant hub with a fantastic mix of stunning beaches (like the famous Beau Vallon), lush mountain rainforests perfect for hiking, and a taste of local culture in its bustling markets and charming small city.

Then there's Praslin, the second-largest, just a short flight or ferry ride away. Praslin is famous for its breathtaking beaches, particularly Anse Lazio (often ranked among the world's best!), and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vallée de Mai, where you can see the unique Coco de Mer palm. It's a great base for exploring nearby smaller islands.

Finally, the truly magical La Digue offers a step back in time. With very few cars, getting around by bicycle is the norm, allowing you to discover its picture-perfect beaches like the iconic Anse Source d'Argent (a photographer's dream!). It's a truly serene and unforgettable island experience.
