Top 10 Swimming Beaches

  

 

  1. Trou aux Biches has great conditions for both swimming and snorkelling. The water is clear, shallow and calm, with gently shelving sands, making it ideal for families. 
  2. Belle Mare Plage is beautiful beach on the east coast. It is great for windsurfing. Currents can sometimes be a little stronger here than elsewhere on the island 
  3. Ile aux Cerfs is a fun-packed island for the whole family.  Here, you can take part in almost any water-based activity you can think of. 
  4. Pereybere is a northern beach popular with locals. Water is deeper here but still calm.
  5. Flic en Flac a stunning stretch of talcum-white sand. It is close to beachfront bars. 
  6. Blue Bay Beach is another spot that’s fantastic for both swimming and snorkelling. It has lots of marine life.   
  7. Mont Choisy is one of the longest beaches in Mauritius. Another popular hotels for the locals.
  8. Le Morne is ideal for windsurfers, kiteboarders and surfers. 
  9. La Cuvette is located in Grand Bay. It is a small beach, only 80 metres but very tranquil. 
  10. La Cambuse is a public beach, one of the island’s most undiscovered spots. Currents here can be very strong here.
