However, for ideal conditions, we generally suggest planning your visit outside of the cyclone season, which runs from January to March. The months of July to October are typically the driest and offer cooler temperatures, making them perfect for outdoor adventures like hiking – just be aware that mornings and evenings can be quite chilly in the highlands.
Along the coast, temperatures usually hover between a pleasant 18°C and 32°C. But if you venture to higher altitudes, you'll find it cooler, ranging from about 15°C to 24°C. Expect the summer months (December to April) to be quite hot and humid, with average temperatures often around 30°C.
